SOUND THE ALARM Album Launch & Fundraiser

  • Red House RSVP Earlwood NSW (map)

It is with a mix of grief and horror, hope and action that we prepare for the CD release of SOUND THE ALARM in Sydney via @relativepitchrecords on Thursday November 21, 2024 at The Red House, Earlwood.

Formed as a sonic statement of protest, SOUND THE ALARM continues to use our live concerts and this new CD to raise money to help support Palestinians in any way possible.

This large ensemble instigation will feature the combined humanities of:

Jack Stoneham, saxophone
Hinano Fujisaki, saxophone

Gabriella Hill, saxophone
Sam Gill, saxophone
Matthew Ottignon, clarinet and saxophone
Jodie Rottle, flutes
Freya Schack-Arnott, cello
Hayley Chan, drums
Megan Alice Clune, clarinet
Novak Manojlovic, piano
Hilary Geddes, guitar
Niki Johnson, percussion
Simon Ferenci, trumpet
Clayton Thomas, bass

The Red House is the new Earlwood venue of The People's Republic, who will also be celebrating 15 years of presenting music on this date.

Entry is by donation. To register and get the address, please email The People's Republic

This will be a very special evening, with all proceeds going to Médecins Sans Frontières, operating in Gaza. @doctorswithoutborders

Nick will be selling photos he took in Palestine in 2011 to contribute to the fundraising.

To do nothing is worse than doing the futile. We hope we can raise enough to contribute to someones safety, and continue to be visible in our call for an end to the unrelenting persecution of Palestinians and the immediate prosecution of those committing genocide.

Doors at 6pm. Music at 7pm sharp.

Please come, please share this with your Sydney community @palestineactiongroup

After more than a year of horrific slaughter in the Occupied Territories, the humanitarian disaster is worse than ever so it’s time to dig deep and donate to the Médecins Sans Frontières relief fund.

To support their excellent but dangerous work, the People’s Republic are hosting a benefit concert
and photography exhibition at The Red House this month. 100% of all funds raised on this occasion
will be transferred directly to MSF.

So come along to see some compelling images from the West Bank and enjoy another stunning performance from the ensemble of Sydney’s finest which came together to raise funds and raise awareness…

We are also celebrating the release of the first album by Sound the Alarm, recorded live in Sydney earlier this year.

The concert also marks the 15th anniversary of the People’s Republic of Australasia home concert series, which began in November 2009.

So this is, in every sense, a huge event, and we would love all our friends to come along and support those suffering in the Occupied Territories, enjoy a brilliant performance, and mark two important milestones.
